How Does Genetic Testing Work?
Genetic testing is fast and easily done in the convenience of your own home. Christy will have the GeneSight at Home DNA sample collection kit shipped straight to you. In the kit, you will receive instructions for how to gather your DNA sample, two cotton swabs, a sample envelope, a prepaid return envelope, and a few forms that must be filled out. You will need to swab the inside of your cheek, and mail your sample and forms off to the GeneSight lab so it can be analyzed. Your results will consist of a detailed report with a list of the most common psychotropic medications that are metabolized appropriately, be less likely to metabolize and could present a heightened risk of adverse side effects.
