Christy Akin is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in the medical field. She earned her associate degree in nursing from Ivy Tech Community College in Columbus, IN, followed by her bachelor's degree in nursing from Indiana University—Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC). Christy then went on to obtain her Master of Science in nursing from the family nurse practitioner program at Indiana Wesleyan University in Louisville, KY. Now, she is currently on track to receive a Post-Master's Psych-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Northern Kentucky University. Christy's huge passion for mental health inspired her to launch Telepsych Services of Indiana where she aims to provide individuals throughout the entire state of Indiana with better access to care.
